The Compound Tenses

Spanish verb conjugations can be divided into two categories: simple tenses and compound tenses. Simple tenses have only one part (hablo - I speak) whereas compound tenses have two (estoy hablando - I am speaking). The Spanish compound tenses are made up of perfect tenses and progressive tenses. See chart of tenses below:
