Making Comparisons in Spanish

One may use adjectives to make comparisons by using the following formula:

(más, menos, tan) + adjective + (que/tan)

Examples:
Juan es más alto que Pablo. -- Juan is taller than Pablo.
Pablo es menos alto que Juan. -- Pablo is less tall than Juan.
Pablo es tan alto como Juan. -- Pablo is as tall as Juan.

Verbs may be used to make comparisons by using a different formula:

verb + (más, menos, tanto) + (que/como)

Examples:
Jorge trabaja más que Cristina. -- Jorge works more than Cristina.
Cristina trabaja menos que Jorge. -- Cristina works less than Jorge.
Cristina trabaja tanto como Jorge. -- Cristina works as much as Jorge.
