Spanish Pronouns are used in a similar way as in English.
Exception: These pronouns do not need to be expressed since
the verb itself will identify the subject.

In the examples below the pronoun is omitted without changing the meaning:

    Él quiere dormir. - He wants to sleep.
    Quiere dormir. - He wants to sleep.

    Ella quiere escribir. - She wants to write.
    Quiere escribir. - She wants to write.

Usually, the subject pronoun is omitted when no emphasis
is required and where no ambiguity is possible, as:

    Compra la ropa.
    He buys the clothes.

    Firma las cartas.
    She signs the letters.

Example Sentences with él
Él come muchas hamburguesas. - He eats a lot of hamburgers.
Él quiere poca ensalada. - He wants little salad.
Él tiene doce libros nuevos. - He has 12 new books.
Él quiere tomar un poco de té. - He wants to drink little tea.
Él quiere quince cuadernos. - He wants fifteen notebooks.
Él tiene treinta toallas moradas. - He has thirty purple towels.
Él quiere mucho espagueti. - He wants a lot of spaghetti.
Él tiene cuatro sillas. - He has four chairs.
Él tiene cien espejos. - He has a hundred mirrors.
Él toma mucho café. - He drinks a lot of coffe.
