Present tense forms of the verb "ir" (to go)

yo voy (I go) nosotros (as) vamos (we go)
vas (you go) vosotros (as) vais (you guys go)
Ud./él/ella va (you/he/she goes) Uds./ellos/ ellas van (you all/they go)

To say that someone is “going to” a place, you must add
the preposition “a,” which means “to.”

We use the formula:

voy + a + place

Voy a la escuela cada dia. - I go to the school each day.
Él va a su casa. - He goes to his house.
Ella va a la biblioteca. - She goes to the library.
¿Cuándo vamos a Ohio? - When do we go to Ohio?

We use the same construction to say that someone is
“going to” do something.

Ella va a preguntar. - She is going to ask.
Juan va a subir aquí. - Juan is going to get on here.
Nosotros vamos a ayudar. - We are going to help.

Sentences

¿Cuánto dinero vas a necesitar? - How much money are you going to need?
Ella va al cruce. - She goes to the intersection.
¿Vas a la panadería? - Are you going to the bakery?
Tú vas a llegar tarde al mercado. - You are going to arrive late to the market.
¿Vas a estudiar? - Are you going to study?
¿Vas a la tienda? - Are you going to the store?
Ella va a la farmacia. - She goes to the drug store?
Sofía va a la avenida Elena. - Sofia is going to Elena avenue.
¿Victoria va al salón de belleza? - Is Victoria going to the beauty shop?
¿Vas a la ferretería? - Are you going to the hardware store?
Nosotros vamos a la tintorería. - We are going to the dry cleaners.
Vamos a la joyería. - We are going to the jewelery store.
Nosotros vamos a tomar un taxi. - We are going to take a taxi.
Vamos a ir a la pastelería - We are going to go to the pastry shop.
