Gramática
You cannot have a conversation without using the following words:

algo - something
nada - nothing

alguien - someone
nadie - no one

siempre - always
nunca - never

Examples:

Quiero algo para tomar.
I want something to drink.

Note: Nada, nadie, nunca, and niguno may go before or
after the verb. If they follow the verb then no must
go before the verb.

Nada pasa. = No pasa nada.
Nothing is happening.

Nunca come. = No come nunca.
He never eats.

Sentences

Hay alguien en la oficina. - There is someone in the office.
Quiero decir algo en la reunión. - I want to say something in the meeting.
¿Hay algo para comer? - Is there something to eat?
Susana le preguntó algo a su jefe. - Susan asked her boss something.
¿Tocó alguien a la puerta? - Did someone knock on the door?
Yo sé algo de biología. - I know something about biology.
¿Usted sabe algo sobre esto? - Do you know something about this?
