(u) changes to (ue)

The verb jugar (to play) is irregular, (u) changes to (ue) in the present tense (with the exception of nosotros and vosotros).

The congugation of the verb jugar is shown in the table below.

jugar
yo juego (I play)
juegas (you play)
Ud./él/ella juega (you/he/she plays)
nosotros (as) jugamos (we play)
vosotros (as) jugáis (you guys play)
Uds./ellos/ ellas juegan (you all/they play)

Let's look at some example sentences:

Juego con mis amigos por la tarde.
I play with my friends in the afternoon.

¿Juegas tenis en el parque a menudo?
Do you play tennis in the park often?

Mi papá juega con mis hermanos.
My dad plays with my brothers.

Juan y yo jugamos al póker.
Juan and I play poker.

Jugáis al póker los lunes.
You all play poker Mondays.

Los dos niños juegan con tres pelotas.
The two boys play with three balls.
