Prepositions

Prepositions establish relations between different elements of a sentence. They can show a movement, time and position relationship among two or more objects within the sentence. Some of the uses of Prepositions are shown below:

Preposition + infinitive

    Salí sin comer.
    I departed without eating.
    Lo hice sin pensar.
    I did it without thinking.

Preposition + pronoun

    Lo trajo para mí.
    He brought it for me.
    Un acuerdo entre Venezuela e Irán.
    An agreement between Venezuela and Irán.

Preposition + noun

    El avión golpeó contra la casa .
    The plane hit against the house.
    Salí de casa sin dinero
    I left the house without money.

Verb + preposition

    Estan viniendo de México.
    Then are coming from Mexico.
    Voy hacia la playa.
    I am going to the beach.
