Note: Agradar is a synomym ofgustar; like gustar, the verb is usedin a special type of construction to express like: Me agradael libro = The book is pleasing to me (= I like the book);Me agradan los libros = The books are pleasing to me(= I like the books). In this construction the verb is most frequentlyused in the third person singular or plural, although all persons are possible,e.g., Me agradas= You are pleasing to me(= I like you).
