In Spanish, the letter h has no sound. When the letter c is followed by the letter h, ch is pronounced like the "ch" in the word "chair".

     Were there damages?
los huevos.
     the eggs.
agua con hielo.
     water with ice.
Mi hermana se hizo monja.
     My sister became a nun.
Hice mi tarea.
     I did my homework.
Mucho tiempo.
     A lot of time.
¿Escuchaste la música?
     Did you listen to the music?
Los muchachos estudiaron la lección.
     The boys studied the lesson.
¿Qué soñaste anoche?
     What did you dream last night?
Un chiste que yo hice.
     A joke I made.
