Just a reminder. The verb is "salir", but "i" verbs follow the "e" pattern, except for "imos" and "ir". However, this verb is an unpredictable one which we have to memorize. The "yo" form is "salgo" (I leave), just like "tengo" (I have). It is one of several verbs where we insert the letter "g" before the "o" of the "yo" form.
