Spanish Verb Tener

Now we will look at one of the most useful Spanish verbs - the verb “tener,” which means “to have.”

The verb tener is irregular in the present tense. A (g) is added to form the first person singular. To make things more difficult, (e) changes to (ie) - with the exception of nostoros. The table below shows how to conjugate the verb tener.

Soundtener (example sentences) (full conjugation)

yo Soundtengo (I have)
Soundtienes (you have)
Ud./él/ella Soundtiene (you/he/she has)
nosotros Soundtenemos (we have)
vosotros Soundteneis (you guys have)
Uds./ellos/ ellas Soundtienen (you all/they have)

Note:
m = male f = female mix = mixed group
yo = I, tú = you (informal)
usted (Ud.) = you (formal)
él = he, ella = she
nosotros = we (m/mix), nosotras = we (f)
vosotros = you guys (informal, m/mix)
vosotras = you guys (informal, f)
ellos = they (m/mix), ellas = they (f)
ustedes (Uds.) = you all (formal)
