I've been in four different Spanish language schools in Mexico and this has been the best experience yet. San Cristobal de las Casas is a wonderful place. The mountain setting is lovely and the City is just large enough to be interesting (lots of places to go and things to do) and small enough to be comfortable. The school is centrally located and is lodged in a newly renovated building with a pleasant patio where students can sit and prepare for classes, drink coffee, or just hang out. The group classes are very small, so interaction is maximized. The teachers I've had are excellent instructors and interesting individuals. Finally, like me, everybody I've met here has wonderful things to say about their homestay.

After spending 3 months at a language school in Guanajuato, then 3 weeks traveling I decided to jump back into school. Instituto Jovel came highly recommended, it is very centrally located. The new building is a work of art in itself. All of my teachers were good, one of them fantastic, really helping me to correct little mistakes from old material while learning new subjects. If you are looking for a lot of school based excursions, they were pretty slim, but there are plenty of opportunities to do this on your own.

My wife and I have attended many schools. This school has high instructional quality, exceptional facilities, good attention to student needs. The home stay was perfect. I decided to stay an extra month. Good location. Delightful town. Not a lot of excursions but we found other fun activities in the town to partidipate in.
