Overview

The verb decir (conjugation) means "to say" or "to tell". The verb is irregular in the present tense. When conjugated, e changes to i (with the exception of nostoros and vosotros). Also, cir changes to go in the (yo) form (first person singular).

yo digo (I say)
dices (you say)
Ud/él/ella dice (you/he/she says)
nosotros (as) decimos (we say)
vosotros (as) decís (you guys say)
Uds/ellos/ellas dicen (you all/they say)

Yo digo las respuestas a Eva.

I tell the answers to Eva.

dices la verdad.

You tell the truth.

El bebé no dice nada.

The baby says nothing.

Dicen que se lo compran.

They say they will buy it for him.

Jamás digo una mentira.

I never tell a lie.

Yo diré la verdad.

I'll tell the truth.
