Querer preterite conjugation

Querer means to want.
It is irregular in the preterite.

yo quise I wanted
quisiste you wanted
Ud./él/ella quiso you/he/she wanted
nosotros/as quisimos we wanted
vosotros/as quisisteis you all wanted
Uds./ellos/ellas quisieron you all/they wanted

No quise asustarte.
      I didn't want to scare you.
Quisiste abrir la puerta.
      You wanted to open the door.
Pepe no quiso dar declaraciones.
      Pepe did not want to give statements.
Quisimos tomar una Coca Cola.
      We wanted to drink a Coke.
Quisisteis hacer una película.
      You guys wanted to make a movie.
Quisieron ser más transparentes.
      They wanted to be more transparent.
