With on-site housing, attending Malaca Instituto felt like being in college and staying in a dormitory. If you like meeting a large group of international students, staying at the on-site housing is a big plus. The swimming pool is small, but convenient. There's an on-site restaurant with limited hours and a limited menu. The food is so-so. The school has plenty of weekend and after hour activities for the student. A lot of senior citizens attend this school since it has a special progam for them. The teachers at this school are great. I like the fact that they rotated 2 - 3 teachers through a 4-hour daily class. It's nice to get exposed to a different teacher with a different teaching method. My only real complaint about this school is the cost. Although it is one of the best, it is also one of the most expensive. The school is located near the top of a steep hill with infrequent bus service. Walking up that hill can be difficult if you're not in good physical condition.

This school is fabulous. The teachers are very well acquainted with curriculum and methodology that works for learning Spanish. For me, too much English, since it is my native language. But, it helps when trying to communicate with others from other countries. The facilities are wonderful and the all the faculty and staff are courteous and friendly. I very highly recommend this school and their sister school La Brisa (for younger learners).
