The pronoun se is used:

• simple reflexive

Me lavé las manos.
I washed my hands.

• dative of interest

Me dormí en el auto.
I feel asleep in the car.

• reciprocal reflexive

Maria y Jorge se odian.
Mary and George hate each other.

• Process SE

Se puso enfermo.
He became ill.

• Passive SE

Se firmó el contrato.
The contract was signed.

• Impersonal SE

Se vive bien en París.
They live well in Paris.

• SE as indirect object pronoun

Le + lo = Se lo

• Reflexive for unplanned occurrences

Se me olvidaron los paquetes.
The packages were forgotten.
