The pronouns quién and quiénes  



Gramática
The Spanish pronouns "quién" and "quiénes", can
only be used to refer to people.

quién, quiénes - who or whom

Examples:

el hombre a quien veo - the man whom I see
las niñas de quienes hablo - the girls of whom I speak.

¿Quién es María? - Who is Maria?
¿Quiénes son ellos? - Who are they?
¿Quién está aquí? - Who is here?
¿Quién viene conmigo? - Who's coming with me?

After a a preposition:

¿A quién hablas? - To whom are you speaking?
¿De quién es este libro? - Of whom is this book? (Whose book is this?)

Sentences with quién and quiénes
¿Quién barre el piso? - Who sweeps the floor.
¿Quiénes limpian las ventanas? - Who cleans the windows?
¿Quiénes caminan al mercado? - Who walks to the market?
¿Con quién camina Valeria? - With whom does Valery walk?
¿Con quién quieres ir? - Who do you want to go with?
¿Con quién necesitas hablar? - Who do you need to speak with?
¿Quién es su médico? - Who is your doctor?
¿Quién está contigo? - Who is with you?
¿Quién habla? - Who speaks? (Who is calling?)
¿Con quién vive Ud.? - Who do you live with?
¿Con quién hablo? - Who am I talking to?
¿Con quiénes habla usted? - With whom do you speak? (With whom are you speaking?)
No sé quien quiere ver este. - I don't know who wants to see this.
