1. Indirect Object Pronouns - The Indirect Object is the person
who indirectly receives the action. The Indirect Object can be found with the
question:
- To whom was the action of the
verb indirectly made? For example:
- John gave the book to Jane.
- To whom was the action of the
verb "gave" indirectly made?
- Answer: Jane indirectly
received the action of the "book" being "given".
Therefore, "Jane" is the Indirect Object.

The
Indirect Object Pronoun can replace the Indirect Object, for example:
- John gave the book to her
(John le dio

- "to her" is the
Indirect Object Pronoun (le)

In
Spanish, very often there is a repetition of the indirect object pronoun, it is called the “redundance”
of the indirect object. For example:
- John le dio el libro a ella.
“A ella”
is not necessary, it is called the “phrase of clarification”. The “le” is
necessary.

Los pronombres de objeto directo e indirecto son usados
en lugar de un sustantivo.

de Objeto Indirecto - El objeto indirecto es la persona o
animal (o cosa, menos frecuentemente) quien
/ que recibe la acción
indirectamente.

El objeto indirecto lo puedes
encontrar con la pregunta:
- ¿A quién fue la acción del verbo hecha indirectamente?
- ¿Quién recibió el “objeto directo”?
Por ejemplo:
- Juan dio el libro a Juanita.
- ¿A quién fue la acción del verbo "dar" hecha indirectamente? ¿Quién recibió
el libro (objeto directo)?
- Respuesta: Juanita indirectamente recibió la acción. Juanita
recibió el libro. Por lo tanto, "Juanita" es el objeto
indirecto.

El pronombre de objeto indirecto
puede substituir el objeto indirecto, por ejemplo:
- Juan le dío el libro (a ella).
- Juanita es el objeto indirecto, y “le” es el pronombre.

En español, hay frecuentemente una
repetición, llamada redundancia del objeto indirect.
Por ejemplo:
- John le dio el libro a ella.
“A ella” no es necesario. Es una frase de clarificación. Pero el “le” sí es
necesario.
