Gramática
The verb saber (to know, to learn) is irregular in the preterite tense.
NB:In the preterite, SABER usually means "to find out."

Preterite tense forms of saber (to know)

yo supe (I knew, learned) nosotros supimos (we knew, learned)
supiste (you knew, learned) vosotros supisteis (you guys knew, learned)
Ud./él/ella supo (you knew, he/she knew, learned) Uds./ellos/ ellas supieron (you all/they knew, learned)

Sentences with saber

Yo supe que Juan estudia medicina. - I learned that Juan studies medicine.
¿Supiste donde vive ella? - Did you know where she lives?
¿Supiste que viene María? - Did you know that Maria is coming?
Ella supo que yo no comí.- She knew that I did not eat.
Juan supo las noticias y se enojó. - Juan found out about the news and he got mad.
Pedro no supo ubicar el hotel en el mapa.- Pedro was not able to find the hotel on the map.
Usted supo que el boxeador está muy grave. - You learned that the boxer is in very serious condition.
Nosotros supimos que cumples años pronto. - We learned that you have a birthday coming soon.
Ellos supieron quién ganó la carrera. - We learned who won the race.
¿Supieron Uds. que Anita compró un automóvil? - Did you hear that Anita bought a car?
