Irregular Spanish Verbs - (e) changes to (ie)

The verbs cerrar (to close), perder (to lose) and mentir (to lie) are irregular in the present tense. When conjugated, (e) changes to (ie) (with the exception of nostoros and vosotros). The congugation of the verbs cerrar and perder is shown in the table below.
