Irregular Spanish Verbs

Regular verbs follow the same rules of conjugation in all the Spanish verb tenses. An irregular verb is one which does NOT follow standard rules of conjugation. Fortunately, many of the exceptions to the rules are predictable.

Some example sentences using irregular verbs in the present tense are shown below:

No, yo salgo a caminar.
No, I'm going for a walk.

Vengo de la montaña.
I am coming from the mountain.

Veo a mi madre.
I see my mother.

Voy a México.
I'm going to Mexico.

Os lo agradezco.
I thank you all.

Yo sigo un camión.
I follow a truck.
