Indirect object pronouns are the words
that take the place of the noun.

They are shown in the table below:

me - to me (singular)

te - to you (singular)

le - to you, to him, to her (singular)

nos - to us (plural)

os - to you guys (plural)

les - to you all, to them (plural)

General rules for using indirect object pronouns:

They precede conjugated verbs
Siempre me llamas a esta hora.
You always call me at this time.

They can precede or follow infinitives
No tienes que decirle la verdad.
You don't have to tell him/her the truth.

No le tienes que decir la verdad.
You don't have to tell him/her the truth.

Pablo me compra una bicicleta.
Paul buys me a bicycle.
Paul buys a bicycle for me.

Pablo te compra una bicicleta.
Paul buys you a bicycle.
Paul buys a bicycle for you.

Pablo le compra una bicicleta.
Paul buys him (her, you) a bicycle.
Paul buys a bicycle for him (her, you).

Pablo nos compra una bicicleta.
Paul buys us a bicycle.

Paul buys a bicycle for us.

Pablo os compra una bicicleta.
Paul buys you guys a bicycle.
Paul buys a bicycle for you guys.

Pablo les compra una bicicleta.

Gramática
The indirect object pronouns le and les are ambiguous.
They can have several meanings. The proper meaning must
be taken from the context of the sentence.
The example below shows how the meaning of le and les
changes with each sentence.

Ella le llama a Juan.
le = him (Juan)

Ella le llama a su hermana.
le = her (hermana)

Ella le llama a usted.
le = you (usted)

Ella les llama a sus padres.
les = them (padres)

Ella les llama a ustedes.
les = you all (ustedes)

Sentences
Victoria le compra un regalo a su madre. - Victoria buys a gift for her mother.
Juan me da una pelota. - Juan gives me a ball.
Elena y Pedro nos regalan una bicicleta. - Elena y Pedro give us a bicycle.
Juan les da dulces a los chicos. - Juan gives candy to the boys.
Les traigo libros a los niños. - I bring books for the children.
La señora le hace una cena al maestro. - The lady makes a dinner for the teacher.
La estrella famosa le firma autógrafos al público. - The famous star signs autographs for the public.
Pedro les pide explicaciones a los niños. - Pedro asks the children for explanations.
María nos escribe una carta. - Maria writes us a letter.
El niño me trae una manzana. - The child brings me an apple.

Sentences
La niña me corta flores. - The girl cuts me flowers.
El deportista le gana una medalla más a su equipo. - The athlete wins another medal for his team.
El millonario les dona una ambulacia a los bomberos. - The millionare donates an ambulance to the firefighters.
Juan le da mucho amor a su hijo. - Juan gives a lot of love to his son.
Ellos nos recibieron amablemente. - They received us kindly.
Le compras un carro a Rosa. - You buy a car for Rosa.
Ana le teje una bufanda a su padre. - Ana weaves a scarf for her father.
Pedro y Juan les llevan cervezas a los invitados. - Pedro y Juan take beers to the guests.
El cartero te entrega una carta. - The mailman delivers you a letter.
El jefe les hizo una reunión a los empleados.- The boss made a meeting for the employees.
