This dialogue focuses on the preterite tense. This tense is used when speaking about an event which began and was completed at some point in the past.

Anita: Hoy he preparado para ustedes un relato sobre mi clase y mis compañeros de curso.
Today I prepared for you a story about my class and my classmates.

Sofia: Le escuchamos atentamente.
We're listening carefully.
