Spanish Past Participle

Past participles are used to describe the nature or states of things,

La tienda está abierta. The store is open.
La puerta está cerrada. The door is closed.
Laura está dormida. Rene is asleep.
Esta es una carta escrita á mano. This is a hand written letter.
Ahora, el problema está resuelto. Now, the problem is solved.
Los planes secretos están escondidos detrás de la pintura. The secret plans are hidden behind the painting.
