    Yo estuve con una zombie.

     I was with a zombie.
 Tú estuviste en el río.

     You were in the river.
 Estuvo delicioso.

     It was delicious.
 Estuvimos en Madrid.

     We were in Madrid.
 Estuvisteis a punto de convencerla.

     You all were about to convince her.
 Todos estuvieron invitados menos nosotros.

     All were invited except for us.
