Pronunciation of Consonants

Spanish consonants are pronounced as in English.

Exceptions:

b - pronounced much more lightly than in English.

c - before "e" and "i," pronounced as "th" in "theatre".

ch - always pronounced as "ch" in "church".

d - very soft at the end of a word or after a vowel.

g - before "e" and "i" is pronounced guttural.
