This is a great school! I got my start there with 5 weeks of both classes and 1-on-1 tutoring, and now I am 99% fluent thanks to the foundation I got there. The school has great teachers and they use the methods that work best for teaching Spanish. The Director, Marvin, is a super person, very nice, and helpful, and they school is more like a family than an "institution". They will teach you Spanish, and on the weekends they will help you find fun, safe excursions within Costa Rica. You can go to the school in San Pedro on the edge of San Jose, in a nice quiet neighborhood, very safe; or you can go to school on the beach in Manuel Antonio. Either way you will get an excellent education if you apply yourself to the task. Do not make the mistake of thinking you will "learn to speak fluently" in just a month or two. It takes years of practice for most people. But you will be able to navigate through Latin America with a month of studying and practicing, and if you keep practicing and studying you will become fluent. THe main key is to SPEAK and LISTEN as much as you possibly can. A home stay is essential, and Marvin or his staff will help you get a good home stay to your liking. I loved going to this school and highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about learning Spanish.
