I studied 2 weeks in the school - I had a great time. BASI is very flexible and the price was not expensive compared to other schools in Buenos Aires. My teacher was good and other workers at the school were very friendly. THANKS A LOT, I'll return soon!!

Apart from learning spanish with a great teacher, the student support staff really helped me a lot with advice about the city and travelling through Argentina. They also found me really cheap tickets to a football match! Thanks!

You will really enjoy BASI. They always have a course for your needs. From day one, they made me feel at home. The staff always friendly and helpful.I liked that they offer activities to help you meet gay people and get to know the gay circuit of Buenos Aires. So I was able to learn grammar through group lessons in the day and practice my conversational skills in the night at "boliches gays" like "Amerika".

I will really miss Spanish class in BASI. One of the directors, Annalia, is a very good professional. Our classes are great because they combine pretty intense instruction in grammar (for example, we have been learning about the MANY uses of the modo subjuntivo) with helpful and fun conversation on whatever topics we want.

i visited three schools and i stayed in BASI because i liked their system. There wasn´t any group with my spanish level so the director, analia, decided to give me two prived lessons to get the right level for me and then was very easy to join the group. She´s specialist in lenguage disorders and she understood right away that i had dyslexia. I´ll be back next year and i´ll visit them. Gracias, Muchas gracias.

The BASI school is well located in the central part of Buenos Aires near to several subway stops as well as many bus lines. The school itself is not very large which makes for a cozy and friendly atmosphere. BASI offers both individual and group classes and should you want group classes but find no one else is at your level they’ll work with you to find a solution. Generally though there are enough people around at different levels that getting into a group is not a problem The director of the school is extremely nice and friendly and speaks English well so if you are not confident with your Spanish no worries. Perhaps the best thing about the school is the quality of the teachers. In two weeks I had two different teachers, Cecelia and Andrea and both were excellent. Other students mentioned their teachers were very good too as well as fun which makes a big difference when one is torturing themselves by attempting to learn a new language. Maybe one downfall is that, unlike many other Spanish schools, I didn’t see any organized activities though the teachers have been known to go out with their students for dinner and/or drinks after class. On the last day of classes this week we made empanadas in class and cooked them complete with recipe in Spanish and lots of explanation on the “proper” Argentinian way to put together an empanada. Overall, the school is great and the teachers knowledgeable, capable and especially friendly. I definitely recommend BASI to anyone in BsAs looking to improve their Spanish as the price is reasonable…US$130 for 20 hours of class.

I would like you to know that I really enjoyed my week of lessons with Ludmila. I felt like I had learnt alot in a short space of time. I thought Ludmila was a great teacher too. A couple of years ago I taught English in Japan, so I know that beginners can be very tiresome to teach, but this was not a problem for Ludmila, I always felt that she was interested and engaged in our lessons. I had a lot of fun in our classes If you have any questions, please let me know. Otherwise, I would like to again say that I really enjoyed Ludmila´s classes and I have recommended BASI to other travellers Kind regards

Wonderful teachers, friendly environment, the school feels quite small and informal. The school director, Analia, checked in on us regularly to be sure we were satisfied.

I was impressed immediately by the friendliness of the staff and the welcoming atmosphere.Very useful having Internet! Have met some great people and really enjoyed the classes. All the people here are extremely lovely and friendly. The school is very welcoming. Our teacher has been fantastic making the lessons fun instead of rigid learning structures. I wish I could stay here longer and do more Spanish. I would love to come back and hopefully have more lessons here. I would definitely recommend this Spanish school to anyone. Only USD 125!!

After searching for the best institute in several options, I've found the right choice in BASI. For the same price as others, I've met a group of students with my same Spanish level. That's so confortable and pleasant for someone who comes from another country. Teachers are really kind and suitable. Lessons with street practice make the difference. Learning while you go shopping is great! Another strong point is that they teach you how to solve those basic needs and troubles like asking for a bus ticket or for a headache healing aspirine. Thanks BASI! I'll be back soon!

Lombard F. 06/2010
