Granada is as safe as most cities in Spain. It is one of my favorite cities and it is a great place to learn Spanish. The real scary thing about Granada would be the heat in the summer. Temperatures can go as high as 110º F in the summer months. Many people at that time usually come to the coast to relax from the Sun. If you need a school recommendation, let me know. Cheers, Jose
